Partnerships

Leeds Art Fund plays a vital role in supporting the arts ecology of Leeds and the wider Yorkshire region. We work with the the curatorial teams at Leeds Art Gallery, Temple Newsam, Lotherton Hall, and the Henry Moore Institute to develop the collections and support education and public programmes. We are also open to wider partnership working and have partnered with Leeds University, the Friends of Leeds City Museums, the Leeds Philosophical and Literary Society and the Ilkley Lawn Tennis and Squash Club.

Leeds Art Gallery

Leeds Art Gallery, located in the heart of the city on the Headrow, is one of the UK’s leading art galleries. Leeds Art Fund is proud to have a long association with this great institution. Over the last century important British paintings and sculptures from the nineteenth century to the present, have been added to the collection with support from Leeds Art Fund, so that today Leeds has ‘one of  the best collections of British twentieth century art outside London’.

Temple Newsam House

Leeds Art Fund has contributed to world class acquisitions for the silver and furniture collections at Temple Newsam, as well as supporting the restoration of the historic interiors. We have also funded research in to the collections.

Lotherton Hall

Leeds Art Fund has contributed to acquisitions that tell the story of this important local estate and the families that lived there, as well as the post nineteenth century collections of applied art, fashion and contemporary craft.

Henry Moore Institue

Leeds Art Fund has worked with the Henry Moore Foundation to provide financial support for the development of the sculpture collection and the archive, which has secured the position of Leeds as the primary research centre for the study of British sculpture, used by scholars from this country and abroad.
